Throat irritation08/26/2009 |
it started with a acid reflux before 5 months, from that day i felt a lump in my throat. i refereed a doctor and he gave me omepezol,renitidine .. i was on these medicines for 6 months ..but the itchy sensation in my throat is not cured still.. it bothers me a lot and i can`t concentrate on my works .. please advice
I would recommend a barium esophagram (X-rays of the esophagus) to rule out anatomical causes of your reflux that may be treatable. Allergy testing (including food allergies) should be obtained as this can be a cause of reflux and an itchy, irritated throat. Finally, a good head and neck exam by an ENT physician should be completed.
