Is exercise recommended for sufferers of Myasthenia?
I recommend that patients with active MG "take it easy". This is to avoid fatiguing muscles already weakened by the disease. As we achieve better control of the disease, we advance the activity level. When MG is well controlled, I encourage patients to to exercise as vigorously as they like. As you can see the answer to exercise is tailored to the patient's condition. I would recommend that you discuss this with your treating neurologist. He/she will advise you based on how you are doing. Hope this helps.
