Wheezing09/28/2009 |
I went to my doctor becuase of a bad cough and short of breath. He listened to my lungs and said that he could hear a wheezing when I exhales. He said since I don`t have asthma or don`t smoke that he should have not herd any thing. He thinks that it is some type of infection. What else could cause wheezing on exhale?
Certainly an infection (acute bronchitis) would be the most likely cause and should improve with a few days to week. Other causes would be asthma (could come on at any time), foreign body or obstructing mass in airway (very, very rare) or a vocal cord problem.
