Irregular Menstrual Bleeding10/28/2009 |
I am 46yrs unmarried I have irregular periods last I had in January 2009 then I got on 28th August2009 heavy bleeding for 3 days after that nothing, is that my periods are being stopped. I feel very hot too. please advice
It sounds like you may be in the perimenopausal stage. You can have irregular periods associated with hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, decrease concentration and short term memory as well as vaginal dryness. These symptoms can last for a few years until you transition completely into menopause.
Your doctor can do a blood test to see if your hormones levels suggests menopause. Another way to determine if you are undergoing early menopause is to ask (if possible) your mother, sisters or grandmother at what age they started menopause. Thanks for visiting NetWellness.
