Perforated septum10/23/2009 |
i have a hole in my septum noticed it last year since then it has doubled in size went to ent they told me there is nothing i can do other then sinus rinses what can i do to prevent this from growing larger i have no crusting will it continue to grow? any advice will be helpfull thank you
It is hard to say wether this will grow larger or not. A biopsy of the septum is warranted to rule out systemic diseases. A septal button may be placed to close the hole. A novel approach may allow replacement of tissue in the septum but it has not been tried at many institutions.
