Non calcified nodule11/17/2009 |
My 16 year old son had a ct scan yesterday for pain behind his ribs. The sight of pain came out clear but they said they found a non calcified 4mm left upper lobe subplural nodule and should be rechecked in 1 year. Do you think I should have a second opinion?
A 4mm nodule in a 16 y/o is extremely unlikely to be cancer. I agree with repeating the chest CT in one year.
I hope this helps.
