What Causes Water in O2 Lines?12/17/2009 |
My 71 year old father has Stage 4 COPD and has water in his O2 lines at night. He has been losing weight steadily(extremely thin now) but eating very well. We know the end is near but just want to know what might be causing H2O to form in his O2 lines at night. Thanks for your time.
There can be several factors that can lead to this--too high of humidity in the room, use of a humidifier on the O2 tank, etc. Please check with your father's durable medical equipment company that provides his oxygen. They can best address this issue and help resolve it.
