High Iron, Low Ferritin01/07/2010 |
Hello, I`m very confused with my labs; my iron is 209, ferritin 11.77, HGB 10.9, HCT 32.5. My PCP ordered a blood electrophoresis, and thank God everything came back normal. (I also had a sleeve gastrectomy in 2/06 for weight loss, and was told to take vitamins daily, which honestly I have not) She said she can`t explain these results and referred me to a hematologist/oncologist which freaked me out...is this a sign of cancer? Please help, I`m really worried at this point. Thank you very much...
Thank you for visiting NetWellness. Your results are consistent with iron deficiency. I am not, however, able to say anything beyond that.
