Milk and mucus
Whenever I drink milk, I end up producing and spitting large amounts of mucous. What is it in milk that makes me elicit this reaction?
Milk leaves a little film that can be interpreted as a build up of mucus, but there is no statistical evidence that milk products do in fact cause more mucus.
