Meniscus tear01/20/2010 |
I tore my meniscus 2 years ago. After physical therapy I returned back to normal I am a very active 73 years old, I work out 2 hours a day.I am involved in ball room dancing. Recently I tore it again. I got better with therapy except that few times a day the knee gets "caught" and I get a sharp pain. Is there a chance that it will go away in time with therapy, or do I have to have surgery?
It is wise to continue with conservative treatment and consider surgery as a last option. Many people respond to conservative treatment.
