Bone Bump Sticking Out of Gum01/19/2010 |
I had a wisdom tooth pulled and soon after I believed I have a bony exostosis growth form on the inside of my right gum line. It irritates me, my tongue and gums and times I have pain. What causes this? I had two other wisdom teeth pull pulled before this and never had this problem. Is this because of jaw damage during the tooth removal? The location is right side of my gum line where tooth 32 was located.
You may have an exposed sharp edge of jawbone left over after removal of tooth #32. Your tongue may be rubbing on it like an outside corner of a wall in your house (your jawbone) that used to be protected by a piece of furniture (your wisdom tooth) and has no corner guard. You should have the dentist who removed #32 check out the area.
