Can you get Chlamydia through Objects?
We have been living with my sister in law for the last two months. unfortanetly we dont have a shower so we all have to use the same bathtub. Last week we found out My borther had chlamydia and had got it from his new wife. He has sores. Is it a possibility to optain chlamydia throuh the bath tub after either one of them has taken a bath, Or through skin contact with blood? Is there any other way to obtain Chlamydia through surfaces, used objects, etc?
If an open area or mucous membranes come into contact with the organism, you can contract an infection. Chlamydia is not typically an organism that lives on surfaces and goes on to cause an infection, so I would say your chance of becoming infected are very slim.
