Bilateral Hip Bursitis

i have been diagnosed with bilateral hip bursitis a year ag0, i have had some cortisone shot but still i have probles with my hips and i have osteopenia,and also my esr blood test is high.Is it possible that bursitis can increase esr result? Is it really bursitis?
