Esophagus Pain02/28/2010 |
Can problems with the esophagus or other parts of the digestive system mimic symptoms of a heart attack, such as arm and neck pain?
Certain esophageal motility disorders can cause chest pain that could be confused with a heart attack. Certain hernias around the stomach/esophagus can also cause chest pain. It would be unlikely that neck and chest pain are caused by the digestive tract. Hope this helps.
