If a .75" piece of hair is left underneath the flap of the cornea after surgery and subsequently removed 1 day after surgery with a tweezers by lifting the flap of the cornea and pulling the hair out, is there a real possibility of doing damage to the eye?
All surgical procedures (including LASIK) have a certain level of risk involved. Your surgeon can give you the best estimate of the level of risk involved in your particular situation.
