Dark Spot on Eyeballs03/22/2010 |
I have a noticeable dark spot on both of my eyeballs ( one on each) My eyeballs aren`t as white as they used to be (I`m 72 years old). Can you tell me what might be causing the spots?
Thank you for visiting NetWellness. Sometimes the pigment existing in the white part of the eyes can proliferate and and get darker with time and as one ages. Hormonal changes, certain inflammatory conditions and specific medications may cause the eye to present differently over time.
I recommend scheduling with your eye care practitioner and primary care physician for further evaluation.
