Raised or (Swollen) Taste Bud

03/17/2010

Question:

Hi. I was just wondering, I have one little "taste bud" towards the tip of my tongue. it looks like a white pimple. It started out flesh color and then it got just a little bit bigger and turned white. The sensation is almost like a burnt tongue feeling. I don`t know if something irritated that one taste bud or if it was from something else. I don`t know if giving oral sex could have set it off to swell. Just thought I would give that information to you to help figure out my answer. I try not to bite it or mess with it so it can heal on its own. and I put oragel on it just to numb it a little bit. If you could please let me know what this cause could be that would be great. I hope its nothing serious. I think I have had them before but if I get any, I normally only get 1 and its little, but its just swollen and raised up a little bit. Thanks for your help!
