Is Asthma Transferable by Kissing
Hi! My wife has asthma and i feel like whenever i spend too much time around her, i get similar symptoms too. I get prone to flu and colds more often then i used to earlier. I`d really appreciate it if you`d be able to confirm this for me. Thanks.
Asthma is not a contagious condition. The symptoms of asthma, which may include cough, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness, are often the result of narrowing of the airways due to constriction of the bronchial tubes and inflammation. In some patients, these symptoms can be triggered by viruses such as colds and the flu.
You cannot get asthma from kissing your wife, but you might catch a virus or respiratory infection from her that causes similar symptoms.
