"Thick Lung" Disease?

03/16/2010

Question:

My Mother Died 2 Years Ago From What The Doctors Called "Thick Lung" Disease. It`s Not the Formal Term For It But If You Know Anything Of this Disease Any Info Would Be Helpful And Appreciated.

Answer:

Thick lung disease is not a usual term that I’m familiar with. However, I suspect that this refers to lung fibrosis, which is a process in which the delicate lung tissue forms thick scars that make breathing difficult.

You can find more about that in the NetWellness topic Pulmonary Fibrosis, which is one of the common causes of lung fibrosis and probably will give you some insight.
