Blurred Vision03/29/2010 |
I`m 59 years old and have blurred vision and floaters. If I blink my eyes several times tightly, my vision is very clear and focused for about one second before it goes blurred again. I wear reading glasses, but find that sometimes I now need them just to be able to carry out simple tasks such as hammering a nail. I have been diagnosed with astigmatism. Any idea as to what the problem could be and what can I personally do help fix it?
See your optometrist so he or she can determine if your astigmatism has changed.
It sounds like you may also have a thin and unstable tear film, for which many types of eyedrops can be prescribed to help you see better. Ask your optometrist to check you for this condition too.
