Endometriosis04/20/2010 |
I have a family history of endometriosis. I have been on birth control for 2 years because my doctors thought I might have it. The birth control helped my symptoms a little bit, but I still had problems, so they did Laproscopy to find out if I had it or not. The surgery photos showed nothing and my doctor said that it could be deep in the tissues. Is that possible? Can I have it and it not be found?
Endometriosis is usually visible at the time of surgery. If there are any areas that appear abnormal, the doctor would have done a biopsy to know for sure.
