Low Blood Platelets04/09/2010 |
How long does it take for someone to recover from low blood platelets? All that I have read about it is that it is an ongoing disease. A relative contracted it from a virus according to her primary doctor. She has no other outlying medical condition.
This sounds like immune thrombocytopenia which may resolve with treatment in adults over several months. It also can be chronic and recurring.
