Growing Gum04/14/2010 |
i went to the dentist today and he said my gum is growing and covering my tooth.. he said i have to go hospital for biopsy and now im worrying what it could be. please could you tell me what it could be and if i will need my gum, tooth removed. im so worried they will remove my jaw..
Given the very limited information you provided, I can only encourage you to have the biopsy as scheduled.
Most growths in the area of the gum tissues are benign and just need to be completely removed by local surgery. (as might be accomplished with the biopsy procedure itself) Your ultimate treatment will rely upon a final tissue diagnosis. Good luck!
