Does everybody who is obese get diabetes?
If a person is obese does that mean they will automatically get diabetes? How long do they have to be obese before they get Diabetes?
Not everybody who is obese gets diabetes and there is not a very precise duration of obesity before developing diabetes but the development of diabetes from obesity is fairly common and increasing in frequency. It is hard to draw conclusions for any one person based on statistics for a large population. Family history is a strong factor but not the only factor.
