Maxillary Sinus Cyst/Sinus Pain
I had a hysterectomy about 8 months ago and my ovaries were removed. My sinuses have been acting up since my surgery and I am beginning to believe that the loss of estrogen has affected my sinuses. A MRI showed some mucuosal thickening and a small left maxillary cyst (this cyst was also present on a past MRI done the previous year). I recently discovered a small bump way above my gumline over the 4th tooth back from left front tooth. Is this the sinus cyst I`m feeling? Also, my right sinuses weren`t mentioned on the MRI but I have pain and pressure mostly behind my right eye and to the right side of my nose. No discharge, no fever. Just pain and post-nasal drip. Would a cat scan be a better test for me?
The cyst probably is not causing your symptoms. The issue probably is the mucosal thickening. A CT of the sinuses would give us better information.
