Eating Disorders

Don`t Eat

06/04/2010

Question:

I am 12 years old, and I have been skinny for so many years I can`t remember when it started. at one point, my doctor pointed out that I am really far below the normal growth rate. I don`t eat a lot, so is that the problem? I am never hungry, and I need help!

Answer:

It is important that you see a person to have a full evaluation to see if there is an eating disorder or another reason why you don't want and feel like eating.

If you live in Central Ohio, there is The Center for Balanced Living that offers full evaluations for eating disorders.

If you live in another location, go to ED.Referral.com
or The National Eating Disorders Organization to see about referrals.

Or consider seeing your family doctor.
