Decay Under Bracket
My daughter has had her braces on for 9 months with outstanding results! Yesterday she had a cleaning and has a small decay under one of back the bands. The dentist wants to know if the orthodontist can take the band and wire off to fix it if not, the dentist will work his best to fill it and keep an eye on it.
What do you think is the best option? I have never heard of taking the bands off for a filling. Doesn’t that mess up the process?
Ask the orthodontist to remove the band and then your dentist can check it out thoroughly.
