White Substance Covering Child`s Stool07/15/2010 |
Our daughter is 2 1/2 and we have noticed on a couple of occasions that her stool has been small marble size and appears to be covered or partially covered in a white substance (I would describe it as a mildewy covering and my wife - strand like that envelops the feces). Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
While this situation may turn out to be within normal limits, I encourage you to discuss this with your child's health care provider to help coordinate whether it occurs when certain foods are eaten, after travel to specific locations, etc. The situation merits an office visit.
