My mother in law 67 has emphezema. you can hear her breathing heavy on telephone. She is suppose to use oxygen she says only at night which she does not. Would a doctor give her oxygen to just use when she feels like it?
Oxygen is often prescribed continuously throughout the day and night, at night only or with exercise. It is not usually recommended on a just "as needed" basis or just when a patient "feels like it".
