Grape Seed Extract Dosage

07/21/2010

Question:

I recently heard a radio program discussing the benefits of grape seed extract. The speaker indicated that 50-100/day (mg, I believe) is not nearly enough, and then stated that people with high cholesterol should consider taking pharmacy grade extract at the level of 500 per day. Would 500 mg/day of grape seed extract interfere with, or be a bad idea in light of, the 10 mg of Lipitor that I take daily?

Answer:

Grape seed extract is not good for health.
