After Gum Graft08/03/2010 |
Is it normal to see white spots (almost like food is caught) between the teeth and on the gum graft site? It is especially noticeable under the stitches on one side. I had 8 lower teeth covered with Alloderm last week. Thank you. I am on an antibiotic, and am using Listerine as well as salt water rinses.
Yes, it may be the most superficial layer of tissue necrotizing or it may be even sutures. Some sutures are white color and they may look like white spots. You should inform your periodontist if there are large areas of white tissue and also bad taste and/or smell.
