Are there any known "natural" or homeopathic approaches or treatments for Parkinson's disease?
Such treatments are available for any disease. Whether they have a predictable benefit is a different story. The treatment of Parkinson's disease is one of the victories of modern medicine. It is one of the most well-understood of neurological disorders. It is also a very active area of research. There is nothing wrong with `natural` approaches in principle. For example, the Ayurveda, an ancient Indian textbook of medicine describes the use of an herbal remedy for a parkinsonian syndrome. That herb (mucuna pruriens) contains levodopa, the gold standard of treatment in PD. However, unlike non-standardized herbal preparations, when you get levodopa from the pharmacy in the form of Sinemet, you know exactly what you are getting.
