Thank you for visiting NetWellness. On this site, we try to answer general questions about COPD and other conditions, but cannot diagnose or recommend treatment. You have some very specific questions about your worsening symptoms that can only be answered by a physician who is familiar with your breathing history, physical exam, and test results. Further testing may be needed to explain your symptoms if they are out of proportion to the COPD alone. After consultation with your physician, you should ask for test results, a complete explanation of your condition, and any proposed treatments. Your doctors should explain the risks, benefits, and alternatives for any treatments they suggest. You should ask that your doctor answer these questions in a way that you are able to understand. If your doctor is unable to help you understand these issues, you should get a second opinion.
