My husband takes 500mg Dilantin daily and was told to take 100mg in the morning and 400mg at night - is this the usual way to take it
Dilantin is an extended release medication and can be given once a day. However, your husband's treating physician may have good reason for giving it twice a day. Please do not change the dose of medication unless you talk to the treating provider.
