hi...i;m trying to get pregnant soon..just worried if i can use any cream for fading my leg scars(dark spots all over :() any natural or harmless cream... thankx
Darkened skin color often occurs at sites of healing injuries. This is called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This usually fades with time. Over-the-counter (OTC) topical treatments can contain a combination of exfoliators (salicylic acid, glycolic acid) to get rid of old skin cells and vitamins to help skin regenerate. Vitamin A (retinol), vitamin C (ascorbic acid), and vitamin E are common ingredients. These are all safe to use topically during pregnancy. Read the labels. One ingredient that should be avoided is hydroquinone, a bleaching agent.
