Is Pulmonary Fibrosis an autoimmune disease or does it sometimes seem to appear in correlation with one? Thanks for any help.
The cause of pulmonary fibrosis is unknown and therefore is not classified as an autoimmune disease. Pulmonary fibrosis can be associated with some connective tissue diseases like polymyositis, dermatomyositis, scleroderma, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
