Bruise Move from Thigh to Ankle11/23/2010 |
I fell and a thick stick stabbed my thigh a week ago and it welted up like a softball and it bruised the area. Now the area is still swollen however the bruise is now on the inside of my ankle. Is this normal??
It is normal for blood from bruising to move to more dependent areas. (areas lower down where gravity would take it) However, for blood to travel from the thigh to the ankle, it must either be a pretty big bruise/hematoma or a different injury. I suggest you follow-up with your primary care doctor.
