I have IGA disease will my kidney get worse I don`t really understand what it means.
IGA disease" is a type of glomerulonephritis, or inflammation of the kidneys, characterized by staining of the renal biopsy with immunoglobulin A (IGA). The treatment and outlook depend on specifics of the renal biopsy, and lab results such as amount of protein in the urine and the level of kidney function, as measured by the creatinine(a common blood test). Also, the age of the patient, the blood pressure and any other associated medical conditions can affect the choice and response to treatment. I cannot give provide further insight based on the information provided. A nephrologist or renal specialist must be involved in the care of the patient.
