Upper Teeth Pain

04/05/2011

Question:

Hi,

This is the first time I am having a problem with a tingling sensation and a sharp pain on the upper teeth which is exactly on the right side. It also pains when I yawn or open my mouth big.The end of the upper teeth on the right side of my facial is paining. What can this be? I have a good oral hygiene and clean my teeth atleast once a year.

Answer:

It is not possible to diagnose your problem from the limited information you have given and without examining you. From your description, the most likely cause is muscle pain from clenching and grinding your teeth. It is also possible that this could be a tooth problem. The best answer is to get an appointment with your dentist and have the source of the pain properly diagnosed and treated.
