Noncalcified Lung Nodules Found on CT Scan06/03/2011 |
my mother in law has been having pain in her left lung area, short of breath, and very tired for no known reason. she had a ct scan and it showed she had three noncalcifed lung nodules in her left lung two in the lower lobe and one in the upper lobe they are 4mm in size. she is 64 years old and is otherwise healthy and a nonsmoker. what are the possibility of this being cancer. her mother died of lung cancer and was also a nonsmoker.
Thank you for contacting NetWellness. The chance of nodules that small being cancer is under 5 percent.
