Epilepsy

Having Seizures in my Sleep

09/15/2011

Question:

I was diagnosed with PENS about 7 years ago. They went away after about 6 months. About 8 months ago I had some seizures and I stopped breathing. I was not placed on medication then.

The thinking was it was PENS again. I have recently had some seizures while sleeping. My husband tells be about them when I wake up later. I have had 2 at work in the last 3 weeks Could something else be going on this time? In the last 8 months I have probably had 15 to 20 all together. I`m reluctant to go to the doctor because I`m thinking I`ll just be told it is PENS, but I didn`t think PENS occurred while a person was sleeping. I`d appreciate your help.
