GPI-1046 in the dumpster?03/10/1999 |
I heard back in 1998 that human studies for GPI-1046 were not too promising. Is that the case NOW in 3/99 with this so called magic bullet treatment....
Unfortunately, there is no magic bullet for PD yet. As with most research, things work in small incremental steps. Relative to other diseases such as cancer and AIDS, the field of PD is underfunded in terms of research monies. That, combined with the lack of understanding of the basic cause(s) of the disease would put a magic bullet in the distant future.
